Description

R27 is a light stable benzothiazolium/pyridinium-based dye which finds application in the detection of double stranded DNA. This offers a more stable alternative to SYBR Green I and LC Green Plus, displaying almost no degradation of fluorescence after prolonged exposure (over 6 h) at temperatures up to 95 °C when used in a LightCycler® system for PCR.
