Description
{1,1’-(4,4,8,8-tetramethyl-4,8-diazaundecamethylene)bis[4-[(3-methylbenzo-1,3-oxazol-2-yl)methylidene]-1,4-dihydroquinolinium]tetraiodide}
Oxazole yellow dimer (OYD) can be used as a DNA stainig dye. When bound to DNA, the intensity of fluorescence increased more then 3000 times compared with an unbound reagent.
Can be used as a substitute for YOYO-1®
λex 458 nm; λem 564 nm (unbound)
